Complete transparency about how AzAd BrowserKit handles your data and protects your privacy.
Last Updated: February 2026
AzAd BrowserKit is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our data handling practices, what information we collect (and what we don't), how we protect it, and your rights.
TL;DR: We don't collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything happens locally on your computer.
Short Answer: None.
AzAd BrowserKit does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. We don't have accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no external communication about your activity.
The only data stored is your extension settings, stored locally on your computer using Chrome's storage API.
Important: These settings are stored locally on your device. If you're signed into Chrome, settings may sync across your devices using Chrome's built-in sync, but this is managed entirely by Google and encrypted by Chrome. We have no access to synced data.
AzAd BrowserKit requests specific permissions to function. Here's why each is needed:
| Permission | Why We Need It |
|---|---|
| activeTab | To access the current tab you're viewing for tools like Color Picker and Font Inspector |
| scripting | To inject features like Smart Links and Hover Zoom into webpages |
| storage | To save your settings locally and persist them across sessions |
| contextMenus | To add right-click context menu options for tools like Text Case Tools |
| clipboardWrite | To copy colors, fonts, emails, and links to your clipboard when you click copy |
| notifications | To show success notifications when you copy data or complete actions |
| <all_urls> | To work on any website you visit. We don't monitor what sites; we just enable our tools everywhere |
Important: None of these permissions are used to collect, transmit, or store any information about you or your activity. They're purely functional.
When you pick a color, the extraction happens entirely in your browser. The color is instantly copied to your clipboard. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Font data is extracted from the CSS of the page you're viewing. Analysis happens locally. No font data is stored or shared.
Links are extracted from the current page in your browser. Processing (removing tracking params, deduplication) happens locally. Export is to your computer only.
Email addresses are found on the current page and displayed locally. Nothing is sent to us or any server.
All processing happens in your browser. No data collection, no tracking.
Disabled by default for security. When enabled, it only works locally on your device. Passwords are never captured or stored.
AzAd BrowserKit works completely offline. All tools function without internet access. We don't rely on any external APIs, servers, or cloud services.
Your data is processed on your device, by your device, for your device.
We do not use any third-party services that collect or process your data:
Since we don't store any of your data on servers, uninstalling the extension removes all local settings. Settings are completely deletedโnot archived or sold.
You can view all your settings in the extension's Options page at any time.
All user inputs are validated and sanitized. We don't execute untrusted code.
All code runs locally. No code is downloaded or executed from external sources.
Since our code is publicly available, security researchers can review it and report issues.
Since we don't collect or store personal data on servers, there's nothing to breach. Your data remains on your device, which you control.
AzAd BrowserKit complies with GDPR because we don't process personal data. We have no databases of users, no tracking, and no data transfers to third parties.
We comply with CCPA. We don't sell, rent, or share any consumer information because we don't collect it in the first place.
AzAd BrowserKit meets all Chrome Web Store requirements for security and privacy. We follow Manifest V3 best practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
Significant changes will be communicated through extension update notes.
